Inside the house

NYC Brownstone handles recurring interior maintenance in single-family brownstones and townhouses across New York City. Monthly visits cover lighting, alarms, hardware, appliances, stone, vents, pest prevention and small tasks, while NYC Brownstone General Contracting handles electrical, carpentry, painting, tile and fixture work.
A collage of cut-out photographs of a brownstone's interior on pale paper: a brass knob on a paneled oak door, a brass wall sconce, a smoke alarm beside a ceiling molding, marble hexagonal tile and a bathroom exhaust grille.

Many interior needs repeat: bulbs fail, hardware loosens, vents collect lint, grout needs checking and appliance connections need attention. The assigned maintenance person follows the house checklist and handles small extras when time allows.

Agreement work includes scheduled checks, cleaning, inventories, pest treatment and filings, followed by an end-of-day report. NYC Brownstone General Contracting handles electrical repairs, fixtures, carpentry, plaster, painting, tile and grout repairs.

Questions

What happens during a maintenance visit?

The assigned technician follows that month's checklist, checks the systems and common trouble spots, and completes the scheduled preventive work. Small extras that take an hour or less are included during the visit. The end-of-day report lists what was done, test results, parts ordered and any follow-up work.

Who will be in my home?

The same lead maintenance technician comes each month, learns the house and watches for changes that need attention. A property manager in the office serves as the point of contact and coordinates scheduling and follow-up.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully licensed and insured for the work we perform. The HVAC technicians who service heating and cooling equipment are EPA 608 certified.
