Air conditioning and air quality

NYC Brownstone maintains air conditioning and air quality equipment in single-family brownstones and townhouses across New York City. We prepare each zone before summer, clean and test ductless systems and check rooftop equipment, while NYC Brownstone General Contracting handles failures, installations, refrigerant work and humidity equipment.
A collage of cut-out photographs of cooling on pale paper: an air-conditioning condenser, a ductless wall unit, a cast-iron floor register, a pleated air filter and insulated copper refrigerant lines on brick.

These homes often have equipment across several floors, long refrigerant lines and many zones. Seasonal service covers filters, drains, pans, belts, motors, condensers and electrical components, with testing before summer.

Under an agreement, recurring cleaning and checks stay on the property checklist. NYC Brownstone General Contracting diagnoses cooling failures and handles installations, refrigerant leaks, air purification and humidity-control work.

Questions

Do you service mini-splits and ductless systems?

Yes, including multi-zone systems. NYC Brownstone maintains and diagnoses mini-splits and ductless equipment. Repairs and installations are handled with our separately insured affiliate, NYC Brownstone General Contracting. The equipment is tested to confirm that it is operating properly.

What refrigerant does my system use, and does R-22 matter?

We identify the refrigerant from the equipment and its system information, and we work on all systems and refrigerants. R-22 is no longer used in new equipment and can be expensive to source. If a system uses it, we help compare continued service with upgrading.
